The IPS Referral Service How the referral service works: All IPS members in the state of Iowa are eligible to join the IPS Referral Service on an individual basis. We also make referrals to psychiatric groups/practices or mental health centers. The IPS Referral Service maintains a consumer orientation. Over the years, we have received numerous requests for referrals. A caller receives the names of three licensed psychiatrists in their geographic location (if possible). The choice of psychiatrist referred to is determined by one or more of the following:
We inform each caller that the list of referrals is made from current IPS members that have agreed to the service and does not mean there are not other psychiatrists in their area. If you have any questions or need a referral, please call the IPS office 515-633-0341or email at iowapsych@mchsi.com.
